We believe in the power of technology to transform how waste is managed. We’re building meaningful partnerships and future-facing business models to explore how AI can extract value from waste – so we can use resources in a way that’s better for the planet, and better for business.
Our parent company is German waste management enterprise EEW, who are leading the way in using waste to create energy. Despite their efforts, in Europe alone more than 54 million tonnes of waste still end up in landfills every year. They launched NEEW Ventures in 2021 to tap the potential of technology to transform waste into something valuable and overcome obstacles that traditional waste management companies would not work on.
EEW funds our work, and everything we do has the ambitious goal of moving towards the circularity of our world. Collaboration is central to this. The waste industry and the circular economy are vast and complex, with lots of interconnected parts – and the only way we’ll make change is with varied skills and lots of ideas.
